complication. an ever lasting change of setting. manic static.
I'm awfully surprised to be back.

douuuulos?
Love affair. When we here that phrase, there’s only one thing that comes into our heads. Oouuy! We can see in our mind’s eyes two hands clasped together, kisses, eye-to-eye contacts and if too impatient, a baby. Oh no, let’s forget all about those. That’s not what I’m trying to say. Love affair is something whose meaning is misunderstood. This also means an intense liking for something. Like a love affair with movies, songs, or even a love affair with MV Doulos.
MV Doulos is the ship that has just visited the Philippines this late January to the middle of February of 2007. So what’s so interesting with this ship? MV Doulos was built in 1914, and that’s just two years younger than the Titanic! And what’s more with it is the fact that it is the largest floating library in the whole world. And because it is a library, of course, you can find a lot of books there. They almost have every kind of book in there- from science, fiction, entertainment books such as about cookery and magic tricks, children’s books, different kinds of dictionaries, thesaurus, and more of God’s Words. They also have CD’s in that library about worshiping God’s Holy Name.
Well anyway, I’m sure you’ll also love the ship because of some of its special features.
When it’s out there under the heat of Mr. Sun, what do you like to eat? You don’t like to drink coffee, do you? Surely, you like the cold and the sweet one. That’s it exactly! I scream ice cream. And that’s not just an ordinary ice cream since it is from Doulos, meaning it is an international one. I mean most of the people that have gone aboard Doulos, ate that kind of Doulos ice cream. Imagine ice cream from abroad, made up of creams from different parts of the world, brought here. Well the price isn’t that surprising if it’s sold 30Php for every one cup. Anyway, it’s really mouth-watering and delicious just enough for the burning sun.
Another is the crew, they are really great. They can easily get along with us. Although they are from other countries, but through English, we can understand each other. It is only there that I proved to myself that there are really black skins. Because before I thought that black people have dark brown skins but I see it myself that’ it’s really black. But the color of the skin does not affect the dignity of an individual, right?
Another else is the structure of the boat itself. Because it was still built, as I’ve said, in 1914, you can see there that big chimney at the top of the ship (whatever would that term for that thing be). When you look at it from the ground you can’t figure out how old it is. The crew took care of it as a part of their lives, I mean they really tried to maintain its beauty as if it has just journeyed the seas for ten years. The air conditioned rooms hide the real age of 93 years plus the hi-tech function rooms for visitors.
Now its mission is not to transport passengers anymore but to serve people specially the poor as they preach the Word of God at the same time.

can be the weighing scale ever set to zero
It was as early as I was seven years of age when I began to think about what’s the real score of this so-called “life”, the reality of living life itself. When I was still at seven, I can’t help myself but to think why there is really the ‘rich’ and the ‘poor’, like me, who is just unfortunately behind the bars of poverty. Since then I can’t almost sleep, I keep on asking, inquiring and go on thinking how did it all began, how did they come up with such situation, and what’s the roots of all of these? Why is there such a big gap between the two?
The rich and the poor – two words that are both made up of four letters, two interesting standings in the community we must explore and ask ourselves about. I think everybody wants to be rich (let’s just set aside the word friends and family from this topic)? Everybody wishes to rise up from poverty. Do you know why are the two present? Why is it that not everybody’s equal?
Rich – does it sounds like the diamonds, the bling-blings, the 3G’s – the guns, the girls and the goons - and the cars? But that’s not what I’m trying to say. We wonder how the rich ones came up with what they are right now. Were they able to get all just in a sudden, like a blink, like an instant millionaire in a TV game show like Game K N B? or Who Wants to be a Millionaire; were they born with a silver spoon on their nose; do they have a clan of corrupt politicians; or just mainly because of their own struggles?
Among the choices above, let’s stick into those self-motivated ones and has progressed because of their struggles and own efforts. There are a lot of them presently especially our proudly-Pinoy businessmen. Some of them are Lloyd Luna, who is a very successful businessman and is a fulltime millionaire at the same time at an age as early as twenty-five years old, and Kenneth Cobunpue, the great manufacturer of rattan furniture who is known in the whole wide world for his creations, even in Hollywood. Shall we blame them if they are standing at a grand majestic carpet? We should make them our inspirations instead, so that someday we, too, can be like who they are right now or could even be greater than them someday.
Let’s turn to the world behind the mirror – where poverty is widespread. Many tried to leave this world. But some just lazily stayed and waited for the good news (?) from the mouths of the politicians. Others do strive hard to have some, or even just a little bit, of progress in their lives. But although they have done their best, their best was just sadly not good enough.
Because of this, you just can sometimes say that life’s too unfair. You can see that the poor is striving too hard just for their dreams – waking up very early, saving money and their sacrifices - but still nothing has changed especially the older ones. While those who were born rich, doing all those absurd deeds – wasting money for silly internet games plus the laziness – can never be equal with those struggling poor ones.
Haven’t those bothered your mind?

given to fly
“Could there be a human being given to fly,” is a question I always ask to myself. “Will still there be a chance for me to reach those towering clouds when I grow up?”
Sometimes or at often times we can say that we are not contented with what we are right now. We don’t stop at just one thing. We explore, we dream, we break the shell of ignorance and we reach out. It is an instinct of species like us, Homo sapiens, to search for what’s absent, for what’s behind the black, what’s with the unexplored. We want to face challenges. Of course, we don’t want the rotten fruit which has fell on the ground already. We want the ripe and the fresh one. We’ll make it although it could be there at the top most part of the tree. Ready to face risks if we might fall from up there and be back down to the ground.
Many inventors of today started from wondering. Most business professionals started from saving a single peso coin. And many painters started from stick sketches. They dreamed of someday extending their walls and ceilings of experiences and leveling up their knowledge and skills. And they made it.
You know life’s made up of dreams. You have to sacrifice and give all what you have for it. You might be asking, “Why do I have to give my all? What if I fail? Then, there would be nothing left.” That’s it exactly! You have to give your all, so that whenever you fail, since not all can catch a fish in just one attempt, you’ll not be having regrets. You have given your best. And, so what if you fail, you’ll lose your life? You’re born naked, even a pair of clothes on, you don’t have any. And so does everyone else. We have to accept the fact that the Supreme Being can get anything from us, anytime He wants. Well anyway, it’s just my opinion. It’s up to you if you’ll agree or not.
Have you thought of a person without a dream? Devastated people, such as those who are addicted to drugs, find their lives with no light of hope and enjoy themselves with alcohol immensely, are those. They don’t have dreams to guide their paths; don’t have stars to direct them as they journey along the dark. Are you one of us? No, just joking.
Most of us just ignore dreaming. Many say "dreaming is just a waste of time, and memory capacity of your brain. And what's the use of dreaming? They are ment to be broken." Somehow they are also correct. What's the use of dreaming if you'll not be able even to try a single step for it. It doesn't only stop in dreaming. You can say that the brain is on if there's a function of the muscles. You should also do a step in accordance to it.
But don't lose hope whenever you fall. Remember He's always there to pick you up. Dare to dream.
You can’t can’t dream, you can’t can’t make it.

alone?
Have you ever been alone – where in nobody’s watching and your naked eyes see nobody. Nobody hears you scream. Your heart cries out in silence - a thing your lonely soul never desired. You tried to smile but your heart just can’t coalesce with what your mind dictates. Your lips won’t stretch sideward even just for the sake of hiding your emotions. When nothing’s too emphatic like living in a monochromatic world of mainly black and white. Have you been such?
Sometimes you feel life’s too inequitable, life makes the world too acute for you to move. You want to roll down the floor. You want to make everything you plan but you’re not sure even making even a single step forward, because you’re afraid, things will lose their tracks again. You feel you’ve got no one to rely on, ‘cause everybody’s too unpredictable. They will suddenly change, together with their ephemeral promises which you are a big victim.
When you’re alone, you sometimes want to stay at that state to be much more sentimental with your fur. But most likely, you want to have someone to talk to, someone you can share your schmaltz with. And that’s nobody but your friend, the only one who agrees with what you’re thinking as well as what you feel and the only one who frankly evaluates what you’re doing.
But how can you figure out that he or she’s really a friend or not. Too many questions bother your head. What you only asked for are just answers, right?
Like a mushroom, answers will just pop out. It’s naturally occurring. There are times when you feel that heaven is crumbling down in your eyes; something warm is rolling down your cheeks. Then you’ll just suddenly find a shadow casting over you, a warm hand tapping your shoulder, and there’s the friend - the person who praises you when you rise the highest among the crowd, the one who pulls you up whenever you fall down.
A TRUE friend is also whom you can share your problems and sentiments with. The one who will stay there for you and will never leave you in times of trouble and until time has got to an end. A friend is the one you can rely on even during the sun won’t seem to shine.
The word FRIEND could be nearly or too far the same with the word CRUSH. You can swear you can stay with your crush in troubled times especially when it’s only the two of you left. But not all people can share their sentiments with their crush, not only if the two of you are close to each other long before he or she knows what you have in heart. Can you re
I hope I could have a friend like what I’ve just mentioned a while ago, because that’s what I’m dreaming for a long time. Someone who I can chitchat with this summer, when days pass me by the same old way and every minute seems like endless hours.

STARS- be careful, humps ahead
“Your sky is so cloudy; I can barely see a single STAR...”
“Even though the gods go crazy, even though the STARS are blind...”
If you could only hear me shout your name, if only you could hear me once again, the STARS in the sky will never be the same.”
What do these lines have in common? Exactly, STARS! And that’s what we’re going to reach right now. What does each star mean to you? Does it mean luck? dreams? or determination to every DETOURminations in your life?
For me stars are signs of carelessness and bad luck! You might be asking why I feel so, or interpreting stars as such. It’s because when I’m doing something and I’m not that careful enough especially when I’m in a hurry running after someone or something, everything ends in stars- I bump posts, humps and craters in the moon, I mean, along my way.
Watching stars every night, for me, is neither a sign of availability of time nor abundance in money to buy the equipments in gazing stars but a sign of poverty, instead. We don’t have enough money to buy roof. So every night, I sleep directly looking the sky. Corns!
Anyway, let’s get serious and talk sensible business. Stars, for me, are paths in life and the thrill and excitements in every path. Why? Have you noticed the heavens in a clear night? You can first see the brightest and the largest star. And then the less luminous stars following the brightest ones. Sometimes when I’m not contented, I try to concentrate looking at the stars and there I found much more stars, less luminous than the second ones. And as my vision sails farther and farther, I noticed that the smallest stars are reaching other brighter stars and much brighter stars.
I have interpreted it myself that stars are like our life’s path. Though not every path we are undertaking leads to what we are trying to follow or achieve, I’m sure there could be a detour or another way. There could be a way you don’t know where it will bring you but who knows, it may lead you towards the summit of your own Mt. Dreams.
Just like the recently done confirmation at our parish church. YFC, which is a club where I belong, tried to convince me to join this confirmation, which is a Holy Sacrament in the Roman Catholic religion. Because of a conflict in my schedule, I wasn’t able to join the meeting intended for this topic. At home, my father informed me about confirmation also. He said it’s good for me to avail this by now while I’m still young so that I can already be a soldier or a defender of the Catholic faith earlier than the others. I have never thought of the idea that the confirmation, my father and the club YFC was telling was the same. At the church, I found some of my schoolmates but I didn’t wonder why. Later on, I noticed more schoolmates of mine especially from the higher years, and then there I found out that it was the YFC club and with them was the adviser.
I just try to hide myself from them because I haven’t attended the meeting. I’m afraid they might are angry of me.

LIFE, a four-letter word, so many questions, sentimental cries
LIFE – a word that has now been a common verb of speech; a word which real meaning is like a blunt dagger not perfectly planted into a person’s head; a gift which is cherished, nurtured, and developed; a gift which is taken for granted, nullified and ABORTED. Life – the nirvana of having these technological innovations and the ongoing notion about our existence here in this world above a hollow stage as Shakespeare sees it – is mostly the main meat of every exchange of thoughts and ideas from every one of us as we communicate or get with one another from around the globe either through speaking directly or via Internet. Although it’s quite a weird fact, but it’s true. Its idea is just behind all those words we utter day after day, as we inquire about the latest trends, the newest from Nokia, Sony E., Levi’s, Maphisto, Converse, scents from Dolce and Gabbana, Chanel, Lacoste, or any from Mel Gibson’s films; about how many friends you have in your Friendster account; or about how many entries do you have to make in order to accomplish this drowning amount of blog for this Blog project.
Well anyway, what does this so-called life really mean? I’m already quite tired of figuring it out by myself. How cruel, how impatient, how unfair, life could be, and how sudden, events could come and go in a short while, is a fact which I, is still on a search.
Life is the only thing that you can grasp a lifetime until there’s no more air to breathe. In fact, there’s a song that states what you only own as long as you live, “I know I was born and I know I will die, the in between is mine.” In short, life is your existence in this physical world.
Life has got a lot with it: cheers, praises, smiles and heartaches, downfalls and mortifications. You get smiles and cheers when you successfully attain what you aim for a lifetime or simply when there’s a mouth-watering, tantalizing piece of fried chicken drumstick with matching gravy and hot rice beside. Oh cravings, stay away from me please. I’m trying not to be a sinful man again. And heartaches, downfalls, and some sort of depressions come when you fail a test, BUSTED, or sad to say, when that tantalizing piece of drumstick, you realized, was just an imagination, dissolved into a puff of smoke.
Well those are just to enhance and make some sort of saltiness and flavor to life.
Life is just a bubble. And inside a bubble is the air. Like a bubble, life spans too short. It will suddenly pop. You’ll be just amazed when it suddenly leaves your sight. Many don’t know what the bubble means. Many are attracted by the colors of the bubble. Sometimes we can’t realize what really makes the bubble deep down inside. Time’s wasted until there’s no more time to figure out what‘s the real score of it.
Many tried to figure out what life is in hand for them. But time is just too impatient and strict like logging in an internet café, where 1 hour is 01:00 and not 01:00:01. Many reached the temple of God at 11:30 pm but died at 11:00. Life is a thing that should not be wast-------
